Do I need to be present the whole time during the grooming?

No. If you choose to run errands while your pooch is being pampered and you feel comfortable you are free to do so as long as you try to make sure you are back on time to pick them up. If you choose to stay that’s fine too however we find that generally pets do better once the owners have left since they calm down.

How long does a dog grooming session take?

It depends on which services you choose. Bath and Brush packages take less time than Full Grooming Packages and if you add on additional services that will also add to the session time. Sessions vary from 45 minutes to 3 hours depending on the services, style and your pooch’s comfort level. Breed specific cuts with hand scissoring takes more time.

What does breed specific styling or hand scissoring mean?

Breed specific styling are styles and cuts designed for a specific breed such as a Poodle cut. If you request this kind of style, please be aware that added time is required to accommodate this and your pricing will most likely be on the higher end of the scale. Please call to inquire for more details if you are interested in this service.

How often should my dog be bathed/groomed?

It depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Are they an active pooch who spends a lot of time outdoors or a couch potato? Nature lovers tend to need grooming more often. For most breeds, we recommend a full groom every 4 – 8 weeks.

Do you groom cats, and extra-large dog breeds?

Sorry we don’t groom cats at the moment. We love all breeds but at the moment we’re not equipped to handle pups over 70 pounds. Please make us aware if your pet is aggressive, harmful or extremely hyperactive, in case we are unable to offer services. Veterinarians can prescribe sedatives and other calming supplements while grooming your pet.
